What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly experienced Database Administrator to join a dynamic, multi-project environment, working within the company’s core software layers. If you enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, diving deep into interconnected database systems, and driving performance excellence, this is the ideal opportunity to make a real impact within a highly skilled IT team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IBM DB2 LUW Database Administration and Troubleshooting.
• IBM DB2 LUW (Linux/Unix/Windows)
• Administration and maintenance of medium to large-scale DB2 database environments
• Database Performance Tuning and Optimization
• SQL Statement Optimization
• Stored Procedure Optimization
• Advanced troubleshooting in mission-critical environments
• Strong Linux Administration skills (SLES and/or CentOS)
• Experience operating in high-performance environments
• Experience integrating DB2 LUW with Siebel and/or Cognos

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of VMware environments
• Experience with complex enterprise database ecosystems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and optimize DB2 database instances running on Linux environments
• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical databases
• Identify and resolve complex database and infrastructure performance issues
• Contribute to the improvement and definition of database frameworks and best practices
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, operations teams, and mainframe specialists.

Working Model:

• Hybrid – 1 to 2 days/week at the client’s location, in a region near Lisbon.
